As the year comes to an end, we wanted to share our pictures of some of the best garden irrigation jobs of 2024. Take a look at our photos at the top of this post. You’ll see how many ways irrigation systems can help your garden thrive!  If you look carefully, you’ll be able to spot different methods of irrigation used for trees, lawns, shrubbery, flower borders and containers. This is because each type of planting has its own needs.

A well-designed irrigation system doesn’t just water everything in your garden in the same way. The different types of planting we mentioned have very different requirements as far as watering is concerned.  It’s not only the amount of water needed that differs. The frequency of water application is also really important. But with Rosewood, you don’t have to worry. Our multi-zone systems take care of all these separate requirements

How does a multi-zone irrigation system work?

Andy, our Rosewood system designer, looks carefully at your location and planting before he starts. Once he knows what’s growing where in your garden, he sets to work. First he chooses the right ways of watering for each group of plants. Next he designs a system with a number of zones to reflect how many different ways and frequencies of watering are needed. Each zone will have its own settings on the electronic controller. This allows us to set the time and duration of each watering session for each zone separately.

So, what’s the result of all these individually specified irrigation sessions? That’s simple to answer. Every zone in your garden, and every plant, will get exactly the water it needs, exactly when it needs it!
